The company was formed in 1972 as IBS Contractors, Inc. In 1986, James H. Metzger, a controlling shareholder of IBS, formed Metzger Construction Company,
maintaining all managerial and supervisory personnel.
Since inception, Metzger has constructed more than 180 major projects, numerous tenant build-outs, and smaller projects, with a total volume of more than $600 million. |
